| Posted: | | | | Going through all of my dvds again to make sure I have the right covers scanned into my database and I noticed there are still numerous dvds I have that have Slip Covers (almost all are original day of release dvds from Best Buy) but the database still has the inside case as the main image. Yes I understand all the rules and yes some of them will get rejected as the inside cases provide a better scan but I would love to have anyone with a scanner or has saved images of the slip covers to submit them as there are some that have huge differences (and some minor but still worth having done). Here is a partial list (more to come) - If you don't want to submit them send me an email with them. Thanks!

| Posted: | | | | I've tried Cabin Fever repeatedly, it won't come out decent with that lenticualr cover thing and since teh keepcase is half of that anyway...
The few others I have on the list, I don't have slipcovers for. I might have King Kong 2D SE, but don't quote me on that. EDIT: I do have the King Kong slipcover, but it was bought used, is beat to death and I'm not sure I can fix it. I'll give it a try this afternoon, but it's looking pretty grim. Clonestamp and paint though, miracles have happened in the past when scanning. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

| Posted: | | | | Hmmm...looking over that list I own 8 of those. 3 of the 8 however, I have a different UPC, so I can't help there (Bourne Identity, Pitch Black & Crank 2). Airplane, I have the same one, but mine didn't come with a slip since I bought it years after it's release, so again, can't help there either. I do have the correct slips of Crank, Doom, The Incredibles & Sleeping Beauty...I can do those when I get home this evening. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | I'm afraid I don't buy many day of release DVDs anymore so I can't be much help. But, with all those slip covers you own, you might thing about getting a scanner! |

| Posted: | | | | Hmmm...turns out I won't be much of a help after all. My copies of The Incredibles & Sleeping Beauty actually don't have slips, although I thought they did. As for Crank & Doom, both slips are too reflective for me to get a decent scan of. In both of these cases, the inner keepcase is almost identical (Doom is just slightly different in the credit block on the bottom, Crank is exactly the same as the slip), so using the keepcase is perfectly acceptable per the rules. Sorry, wish I could've been more helpful. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | Also, Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone is the correct scan. Turns out I do have the same one, and the current scan is the slip. The rear of the inner digipack is completely different than what's in the database. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

Actually if you look at the front cover bottom left you will see the DVD symbol on the slip cover is located to the left of the fire as opposed to the inner case which has the symbol over the fire, also slip cover shows more of the bottom of the cover. Slight difference I know but still a difference. Thanks for looking on the others though! |

| Posted: | | | | Upon closer look, I have a couple more slips than I thought. Crank is one of them. I'm not thrilled with the outcome but will submit this afternoon anyway after I try to get the scuffs and glare painted out, not horrid but not as good as the keepscans. Same deal with Running Man, hard to scan reflecto slipcovers are probably why the existing are just keepcase scans in the first place. |

| Posted: | | | | I seem to have many of the versions you are looking for. If I don't have the slip covers in my database, I will hookup my scanner this weekend and see if I can get it working again. I haven't had it hooked up since June 2008. I guess it's time. I know that I already have slip cover scans for some of these. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

One user voted No on Great Escape, saying my slipcover isn't original. I PM'd him for confirmation; in which case (no pun intended) I'll withdraw. EDIT: the voter changed his vote to Yes, so I guess it's OK. | | | Last edited: by CalebAndCo |

| Posted: | | | | I'll hold on to my scans just in case, the no votes are starting to pile up for some of them and at least one will be declined I'm sure. On the bright side, the no votes are slowly disappearing from Running Man, thanks to the current scans having the wrong UPC. Went to bed with 3 no's, woke up with 1! |

Let em ride and see what the screeners feel. I expect no votes with everything I do, because no matter what, someone will find something they don't like. Wheter what they want fits with what the screeners and rules want is often different. The fact is, most of my slip scans in the past have been approved despite some getting almost half no votes. They get approved because the screeners know they are correct. The users who want the keepcase scans can keep them locally or in gallery. Just be clear in your notes that the existing scans are from the inside and wrong. I only feel I'm gonna be declined on some of these new ones because they are too close to the keepcases to spot differences without looking close, and many no votes are reminding me and the screeners of the identical slipcover rule, where it's fine to get better scans from the keepcase. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

Generally, I agree with you. Actually I clicked Withdraw on The Incredibles meaning to withdraw The Great Escape. But I don't want to resubmit them and appear to be trying to skirt the No votes. Several of the votes had strong opinions that my scans were inferior and the existing ones are according to the reflective slip cover Rule. So I will let it rest. If anyone wants copies of my local scans, I will gladly share them. |
