| Posted: | | | | I just purchased this DVD yesterday, I've been trying to get it entered into DVD Profiler and can't (whether by UPC or title). It appears as though it's a new release, Amazon lists it as being released Oct. 12, 2010. The UPC# from this DVD is: 0 96009 96729 1, it's entitled The Midnight Horror Collection: Puppet Master, it's a trilogy of the first three Puppet Master movies: Puppet Master, Puppet Master 2, and Puppet Master 3: Toulon's Revenge. A few Details can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/Midnight-Horror-Collection-Puppet-Master/dp/B0040Y5JYY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1289307127&sr=1-1CD Universe lists it as being released Oct. 28, 2010: http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=8292200&style=movieDVD Empire isn't listing this DVD yet: http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v5_search_item.asp?userid=99366800534032&string=The+Midnight+Horror+Collection&site_media_id=&site_id=4&pp=&used=0&search_refined=0According to McBastard's Mausoleum, the first Puppet Master is the only one offered in anamorphic widescreen 1:85:1 aspect ratio, Puppet Masters 2 & 3 are both fullscreen: http://mcbastardsmausoleum.blogspot.com/2010/11/dvd-review-midnight-horror-collection.html (this posting mechanism won't let me convert this text to a URL, the highlighting keeps jumping back up into text above). I hope you can legitimize this DVD quickly as I'd like to get it entered into my collection. Thank You! -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) | | | Last edited: by kd5 |

This is something you can do on your own. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I've added it into my collection (manually, by UPC) so far, lets see what kind of details I can add. -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) |

| Posted: | | | | I guess I won't be contributing this DVD then, I can't figure out how to get most of what I'll need to do, done right. I have the front and back cover scans saved on my PC but can't figure out how to get DVD Profiler-quality scans into the application. I'm no wizard when it comes to working with pictures and/or graphics. Nor do I have anywhere I can upload the images to post here or give to someone who is capable of doing something with them. I've been futzing with these scans now for the last 45 minutes, not only have I not made any headway whatsoever, I've pretty much pulled what hair I have left out of my head.
I'd really like to contribute this DVD but apparently I lack the skills. All I have so far is the UPC/title entered and what basic info I was able to gather on the General Information page. If I had a few days to gather additional information and figure out how to enter it into DVD Profiler, I would be more than happy to, but I have a wife I need to spend time with and computers I need to work on.
Sorry for my failure. -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) |

| Posted: | | | | The good news is that you don't have to be complete. You can just fill out those fields that you are comfortable with, and only submit those. If the covers pose a problem, then just don't include them: no problem!
Second bit of good news: whether you just contribute a few selective bits of data, or give it up altogether, chances are that in a few days, a bunch of other DVD Profiler users will have bought this DVD, and will start contributing to it's profile as well. |

| Posted: | | | | You could start with just adding a bare profile. (perhaps with the already done scans) This would be just title and production year. (In this case the theatrical release of PM1)
If you have specific questions, ask. We other users help as good as we can. |

| Posted: | | | | The easiest way (I think) to get the scans into Profiler is to open the scan, select all (if necessary) and copy the image to the clipboard. Then right-click on the placeholder scan in Profiler and select Paste. |

| Posted: | | | | I contributed what information I was able to gather, which isn't much. Just UPC, Title, General Information and Overview for now. I hope I didn't screw up... -kd5- | | | Time is the fire in which we burn. (Soran) | | | Last edited: by kd5 |

| Posted: | | | | Those scans ain't bad at all, maybe a bit too bright or too much contrast, but nice and sharp with great colors. You're already better than many kd5, I've seen some horrid excuses for scans on some of my obscure horror titles. BTW, another thing about this set: While the first film says unrated, it's the same R cut that's been available on the old PM dvds. I scanned through it and none of the unrated scenes below are there. Link safe enough for most work (2 people having sex, but you can't see any naughty bits). http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=5734208 I'll get to work on the rest of the profile soon, unless someone is already doing it. I hate boxsets where 1 disc has 2 films and the other 1, or this case 2 on one side, 1 on the other. Would rather have individual profiles for each film, but I got this free so I can't complain too much. Dividers, here I come! |

| Posted: | | | | Here's another question. In the opening credits for PM 3, Charles Band is credited with "Based on an Original Idea By". Think this should be OMB? I swore there was a thread about this before and it was shot down, but he does have "story by" credit on the first 2 films (along with another story by and writer for each) so I'm sure he was at least partially responsible for the whole series.
For now it will just be a local "idea by" credit, but should it change to OMB? | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

For now it will just be a local "idea by" credit, but should it change to OMB? The chart for OMB includes "Based on [anything] by". This would include "idea" so this is clearly an acceptable OMB credit. | | | ...James
