| Posted: | | | | How should he be credited.
His real name is Mark Heidrich
He was credited as
Mark Boone a couple of times Mark Boone Jr a few times Mark Boone Junior most of the time
Should this be considered a stage name?
In the DB He is {Mark/Boone/Junior - Mark//Boone Junior} (149/808) Mark Boone (5/12) Mark Boone, Jr. (30/88)

| Posted: | | | | Is it a stage name? Maybe. Do we treat stage names, that look like real names, as stage names? Nope. Since we don't, it should be entered as Mark Boone Junior. Is that contrary to the rules? Yes, but that ship sailed a long time ago. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | OK, but is it
Mark/Boone/Junior or
Mark//Boone Junior
Since he spells out Junior, do we use it as his "Surname"?

| Posted: | | | | I agree with Martian, with one proviso, Charlie.Locally I deal with him as Mark/Boone/Junior, why do you ask would I do that. Because I don't know the answer,Junior is handled in every case I am aware of, including my own as Jr., til I ran into Mr. Junior's name I had NEVER seen such a thing, so is it Junior=Jr. or is Junior his last name. Based on usage, I think those claiming that Junior=Jr. are making an assumption. I consider it his last name, it COULD be a stage name, but until I see some reliable documentation to back it up, I will continue to treat it as a last name. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! | Posted: | | | | “Sons of Anarchy” star Mark Hiedrich aka Mark Boone Junior was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer after he was pulled over for a traffic violation in Glendale, California on Tuesday (August 24).
The 55 year-old actor, best known for roles in movies like “Memento” and “Batman Begins”, apparently went nuts, several other officers were then called to the scene and he was finally arrested for assault of an officer and resisting arrest.

I know that Mark Boone (jr.) (Junior) is an assumed name for acting. And I do agree with Martian that we4 treat real looking stage names as actual names.
My other question still stands

| Posted: | | | | Ihave a problem with the article, they provide nothing for the headline and I have never seen him credited as Jr.. So I am still at Junior=Last Name. Woiuld love to see some resolution. At thispoint the article writer MAY have made the same assumption that some of us have made. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Charlie Because of the 30 Mark Boone, Jr. and the 5 Mark Boone credits, I would not treat it as a surname...assuming they are valid credits. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | And in John Carpenter's Vampires, he's credited (of all things) as Mark Boone, Junior
I've never seen a middle name separated from a last name with the use of a comma before.
This credit and the credit for I Still Know What You Did Last Summer are the reasons I have him parsed as Mark//Boone Junior in my local. If we didn't have a common name, what we would parse his credit for ISKWYDLS as? Mark/Boone/Jr.? That doesn't look particularly correct to me. | | | The night is calling. | Posted: | | | | I agree that it's not a stage name for parsing purposes. And the fact that Junior is sometimes abbreviated to the standard Jr. tells me that Junior means Jr., in which case his surname is Boone. Crazy talk, I know. Hence, Mark//Boone Junior. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | The reason I brought this up...
Locally, I have 11 titles with Mark Boone Junior
6 are listed as Mark//Boone Junior 5 are listed as Mark/Boone/Junior
None of them, I audited.
So there apparently is no consistency. |
