| | Posted: | | | | I spent the morning today having some quality time with my daughter. We went to the park and had a nice early picnic lunch and then walked (apprx. 10 to 15min walk) to the Zoo. I took lots of pics! only downside...it was super hot! Over 100 degrees Fahrenheit! Here is the pics I took of my daughter Britt when we first got to the park... First we get to the park area and sit down for a nice early lunch.  After lunch we prepared ourselves for a nice (fairly) long walk to the zoo...  The first stop on the way was to take a pic of Britt on a nice bridge.  Stop #2 on the way was for a pic in front of the fountain... I so wanted to jump in! It was sooo hot!  Next we took a rest stop right before the entrance to the zoo... where I took a couple more pics.  Brittany wanted this pic taken in particular... she took one of me at the same time holding my camera.  And Finally.... At the entrance to the Zoo.  Next Post Coming.... The Animals! | | | | Pete |

| | Posted: | | | | And Now for the Animals... (Part 2)Many of the animals just did not want to come out in the heat!  This is the best I could get from that PITA Bear! Every time I went to snap the shot he turned his head and looked at the wall! I swear... take a good look at this pic... He is laughing at me!   Nice Feathered Friend actually posed for me!  I wanted to bring him home!  Caught the tail end of a nice young lady giving a talk about owls.  A very cooperative Gator... no more then a foot and a half away from us.   And another furry friend. To be honest I can't remember what he is.  And from that was about the end of our day. We did stop at a gift shop and get Britt a stuffed owl. and stopped for something cold to drink. Yup... it sure is. I am in Princess Anne, Md. Not far at all from Salisbury. I can see Princess Anne on my GPS maps....I must have driven past your house several times We were staying on Chincoteague, but Salisbury was the nearest town of any size (<cough>, with apologies to Pokomoke City, pop. 4300 in those days!). | | | | Chris |

| | Posted: | | | | I remember there was a fast road between Salisbury & Pocomoke, so we could go shopping ( the project manager bought a Grandfather Clock from a shop in Salisbury - the rental car assigned to me was was the only estate car (station wagon?) in the pool, so I had to go and collect it - even with the rear seats folded, the clock was still too long so we had to tie it and the the tailgate down! I flew in/out of Salisbury Airport to Washington National (is it called Ronald Reagan, these days?) on those miniature "Skyvan" aeroplanes of Allegheny Airlines.... crazy, I've never since flown in a plane that makes lateral shifts (up, down, left & right) at random - at least that's what it felt like - and sometimes we passengers were outnumbered by the crew! | | | | Chris | | | | Last edited: by Mole |

you should have a movie marathon dealing with movies about killer animals since you just went to a zoo. |
