When you add Cast/Crew from another profile as well as giving it's EAN could you also possibly add a link to the other profiles contribution notes so the notes can be viewed without having to download the other profile.

Example:
Quote:
Cast & Crew taken from Approved US Blu-ray Profile (097360717648)
Contribution notes can be viewed at the following link
http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=383708&PageNum=LAST

Good idea, Nick. Don't forget it's also good to verify the copied data against the ACTUAL you have in your hot wittle hands; just to make sure the filmmakers didn't decide to get cute with their Credits, which they are known to do.

I hope you realize that many contributors don't read the forums, and even if they do, they may not know exactly how to include a link in the contribution notes.

Still doesn't hurt to ask.  While it isn't something I do, it is a good idea.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

Different credits is not the only issue.

I recently did an update on a profile for The Final Destination (can't remember which locality I cloned from) and when I checked the actual credits the profile was completely wrong and, I'm guessing, from IMDB. It was totally useless!!

I don't care where I get the information from I always check against the credits before I submit it; and I think everyone should do the same!

I never check them. It's totally obvious that they are different in my local. How could they link if they matched the  credits ?

Why are you trying to, once again, hijack a thread?  This thread is about contributing profiles, not what you do with your local.  Pantheon's post dealt with what he does before he contributes and has nothing to do with your local profiles.

Once again, you do not read what I write and interpret things. I only said that I had no need to check credits before contributing, because it is sure they do not match. I said nothing less, nothing more. That means that before contributing, I have to rebuild totally cast, or avoid to contribute this part.

It's a little annoying that your hatred makes you "misunderstand" quite everything I write.

You never said one word about contributing.  You said, and I quote, "I never check them. It's totally obvious that they are different in my local. How could they link if they matched the  credits ?"

I see the word 'local', but not the words 'before contributing'.  As I said before, I can only go by what you write.  I can't read something that isn't there.

You know, I could say the exact same thing to you.  For the record, however, I have no hatred for you.  Sorry to burst your bubble, but you are just a guy on the internet and I have no feelings for you one way or the other.

Surfeur, your post isn't really saying what you explained to the Martian later on. I understood it wrong too.

My post answered to Pantheon who said he had to check every time. I said I never check since I'm sure of the result. As we are in the contributing forum, the following was implicit, except for people who, like TheMadMartian publicly doubt about my credibility when I contribute.
