Does "Additional Written Material By" get listed?

There is also a credit for "Writer," which naturally gets listed.  Just wasn't particularly sure about the Additional Written Material question.

The movie in question is Napoleon, a Japan/Australia co-production children's film.

Also, should producers who are listed in association with a specific company be listed as Producer?  This is present in Napoleon as "Producer for Herald Ace" and "Producer for Samuel Goldwyn Company" but I have seen the same thing with TV shows like Growing Up... will have a credit that is "For Animal Planet ... Producer" and I am never sure if those should be listed or not.  Invariably these shows (and this movie) have a credit just listed as "Producer" as well.

Agreed
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Nope.

Agree with the others. I've seen a few of those credits while doing audits for a few profiles, and I've never entered them.

I wish I had been paying attention at the time though. Now, I'd probably use the feature of other to enter them into my own local.
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

On the "Additional Written Material by" I agree with the others.

The "Producer" question is a harder. If they're Co-Producers or Associate Producers: Of course I would give them no credit.
If they're are "main" Producers I would include them.

Is a Producer in the credits? ("normally" credited. As Producer or produced by)

"Additional Written Material": I'd say no.

"Producer for...": as long as it's an individual rather than a company credit and it's not for a second unit or something like that, I don't see why not. I have encountered cases myself in which there are ONLY such credits for (executive) producers.

Thanks for the answers with the writers.  I kinda thought they weren't to be listed, but as I said, wasn't sure.

As for the producer credits, for Napoleon they are the following (all from opening credits):
- Producer for Herald Ace (person)
- Producer for Samuel Goldwyn Company (person)
- Executive Producers (2 people)
- Producers (2 people)

With the other shows I've seen this for, generally I see a credit for Producer and/or Executive Producer in the credits, then at the end of the credits there will be a section that says something like "For Animal Planet" and then there will be another Producer and/or Executive Producer listed.

I somehow missed that part of your question.  If this is a co-production, between Herald Ace and the Samuel Goldwyn Company, I would be inclined to include them.

But if it's a co-production, wouldn't the producers per company credited be also co-producers?

There are seperate credits for "Producers", so it seems that they just could be co-producers.
Then according to the rules: Not include them.

However, they are not credited as "co-producer" but as "producer" - just with the appellate for their company.

As for this being a co-production, yes, it is ... however this is the credit block ...

Based on that, I think Film Australia, Herald Ace & Furry Feature Films are the actual production companies?  If I'm reading that mismash correctly?

Yes, based on that credit:

Herald Ace, Australian Film Finance Corporation, Samuel Goldwyn Entertainment are major money/distribution companies.

Nippon Herald Films, Fuji Television and Pony Canyon are minor money companies.

Film Australia, Herald Ace and Furry Feature Films are the production companies.

So, based on that, do you still think I should include the Herald Ace & Samuel Goldwyn producers?
