I've just upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  Before installing DVDP, are there any issues I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance,

I've been running DVDP 3.5, and 3.6ß, on Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate RTM and Home Premium RTM for a couple months without running into any problems not present using Windows XP.

I have it running on 32bit and 64 bit since the RTM came out, and it's running without any issues.

I upgraded from Vista Prem 64 bit to Win7 Prem 64 bit and DVD Profiler won't even start. When I click on the .exe the computer locks up and I have to manually shut down and restart. I've tried compatibility resets under Vista and XP with no luck. I had to manually delete the files to delete the program & run Regedit to get rid of all traces. I then reinstalled DVD Profiler but it still won't run. Any suggestions? Is Invelos going to put out an update (patch)?

As it's working for the rest of us, it's most likely something on your system that has gone wrong meaning Invelos can't really patch it. If it can lock up your computer, it's most likely driver related so you might want to look into graphics card driver etc.

Did you do a clean update? If not, you now know why the rest of us do.

Personally I never keep any data on the C drive, so I always format as part of an OS install.
Regards
Lars

@ SkyPilot: It's highly likely that something went wrong with your Win7 setup.
Are you experiencing problems with other apps too?
In Win7 a single process isn't supposed to be able to lock down the whole computer, so there might even be hardware problems.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

This may be caused by a corruption in the layout file you are using. Layouts are located in  c:\users\username\document\dvdprofiler\layouts

Have you tried to delete those files, then, re-install dvdpro?

I just did a clean Windows 7 install of Ultimate 64 bit and DVD Profiler hangs upon loading.  I imported my database from my XP install just fine, but it just hangs after launching the app.  Even tried a reinstall of DVD Profiler.  Any suggestions?
