or have you severall instances of DVD Profiler running on your computer as different users?
close all "dvd profiler's' running.
What OS are you running on your computer?

| | Posted: | | | | I have never tried to access a database on other pc's but the program does exist on other pc's on the network. I will try again and dissconnect the only running pc from the router.
I only have the one user on my XP system, however i have a dual boot with vista but i've booted into XP.
No other instances of DVD Profiler running.
Don't know anthing about MS access so i would imagine it's not used.
I never had this problem untill i loaded up Headshots V3 to add photos to my cast and crew data. When i uncheck the restore option to included cast and crew with images the backups are successfull. | | Posted: | | | | every time i add a dvd to my collection i make a backup however i recently made alot of changes with box sets and adding my own images for titles not in DB and i don't want to backup profiles and risk loosing any of my work. I would have to verify all tags that exist and all box set edits and many other things. Too risky to attempt. I did reinstall headshots V3 and didn't choose the compair option and it installed correctly but still get errors related to V3. And V4 is for the new version of DP when it comes out, or have i missed something. I hold out for a possible post from Ken, as he should know why i'm getting this error. As i said i can back all profiles so long as i uncheck cast and crew with photos. Update: New errors messages after running repair utility and cleaning images directory. | | Posted: | | | | Yes as i mentioned above i have successfully made a backup without the photos but i haven't tried to restore the backup. I was going to try that and so i tried to reopen DP and got the following error meswsage that i have never received even since my post here on the subject. I have opened and closed it many times and it now thinks i already have it running but i don't. All the pc's on the network have been disconnected from the router. Update :
The Database error wasn't related to DP in any way, it was a Plugin ( CCV ) and i needed to create a database for the plugin. However after creating a DB i am still unable to create a backup due to the "Engine Error #8708" | | | My collection PHPdvdProfiler Custom edited ( Matrix theme )

I installed the app your suggested and ran the update and i had many yellows but no reds. Still working on corrections via the info on the site it takes me to. I also did a refresh of the online database. No major issue according to the sw
