Hi,

I'm using DVD Profiler and have 1 question. I tried to search for such a topic, but I couldn't find anything...

Are there any cast information, that I can download e.g. pictures of the casts or the birthday? I want to click on George Clooney and want to have some more information. Is this possible?

Thanks...
I don't need a signature...

For George Cloonery and most actors the simple answer is no. Headshots are copyrighted by somebody, and require a paying a licensing fee for public use, there are plent of pics of George out there just go find one and put in your local. But it IS local any form of sharing is subject to Copyright and any potential risks involved. As for BY, again you are on your own. per our Rules we ONLY Contribute BY data for Actors which share a name, George Clooney is the only one, therefore his BY data is not available, but you can use it locally if you wish.

For pictures of George Clooney and most well known actors, the answer is yes.
Some users made a file with many cast pictures, that you can download

That is true surfeur, but as I noted sharing of such is a definite Copyright violation and exposes the user who created it and ALL who make use of it to potential penalties. I build my own and share with no one, which is OK, based on the advice iI have gotten from several legal eagle friends of mine.

The majority of these picture are taken everywhere on the internet, so they are in some sort of way in the public domain. No money appear in the processus so the original copyright owner lost nothing. This is not the same thing that the music, the movie, the boock or the software piracy when money are lost for the creator. Anyway this is just my opinon, I'm not a copyright lawyer or an expert.

I agree with you. What is funny is that some of us (me, for example, but I'm not alone  ) use such a picture for their avatar...

Obviously my avatar is not me and not my girlfriend either (sadly), so it's a screen capture.

We have a lot of star here if everyone else are their avatar.

And a lot of cat and dog who use a computer

You are consistent with yourself, as I am. But some people who speak of copyright use avatars which are even not screen captures...

Yes I do, sufeur and if i was not confident of my security I would not use it, i am far more conservative about such matter than most users. You really are a very bad piece of work. As I said I have no problem with you, so I suggest that you try growing up just a tad.

A handy tip you may not be aware of is if you open the cast info window then double click on the space for the headshot, then it runs a google image search for that person. You can then copy & paste your image of choice back into Profiler. Dragging also works, but has been known to be problematic.
The only other info that can be stored in the program is the year of birth, we don't have any other fields for cast info.
I do know however that some people have made layouts that include links to IMDB and other film databases - maybe one of those would be a suitable alternative for you?

Do a Google search for the actor's name and select "Images" and you'll have a large selection of mugshots.
