Hi i am new here and i want to switch from extreme movie manager to DVDP.
I tried searching the forum on importing but the only thing i can find is how to import a lot of titles by UPC code.

I did and export to txt file within extreme movie manager and found out that i had 4 titles that had an UPC code.
I am trying to find a way to import the DVD`s by title but i guess its not an option.

Also tried to import the UPC codes in extreme movie manager but there is no dutch site where i can import it from.
I did import a few UPC`s from discshop.se but then i get the nordic DVD version and audio etc.

Does the unlimited version have more importing functions as the free version maybe ?

Adding the UPC codes is possible but i dont have a scanner so i have to type them manually in a txt file or excel sheet.

I think i am gonna start typing then and will add a lot of them when i have some time untill i am done lol.

Hmm movie collectorz can import titles from a txt file and lookup the UPC code yay.
All i have to do now is selecting the right dvd and export a batch.

Still a lot of work but better as typing.

snarbo that is an option too but its easier to do it in a txt/excel file because it saves me a few enters and clicking.
Now i can just use the numpad and enter.

I just registered :D
No more nag screens am up to almost 100 titles now so i think in a few days i am done with it.

I second what Mithi says. I got one off Amazon for about 15 bucks american. If you don't find one there try Ebay. Definitely worth it. I wish I would've had one when I converting over from my Access database to DVDVP.

Get one! Really, a Cuecat (preferable declawed) should be available for 20€ or so, even if you don't ever use it again, the time you save (not to mention the accuracy) on entering 1200 title should worth this few Talers.

I don't know for sure how it is in your country, but declawed cuecats are not something you pick up in any hardware store...

Have you tried the UPC Import Utility?  Not sure if it will work with DVD Profiler 3.0, but it might.

Wait until you discover a mistake and have to start all over again? A .txt file or excel file allows some error checking before you do the actual conversion. That's why the plugin is so appreciated.

And prey tell me how notepad or Excel knows that you've typed a UPC incorrectly?
Excel like word will flag up a word that appears incorrectly spelt as far as its concerned normally a RED UNDERLINE but it does not know if you meant to type
123456789012 instead of 123456789011.

Whereas if your typing directly into DVDP it will flag underneath the window if it recognises the UPC or not..or do I look at a totally different screen to everybody else when I type in a UPC/EAN?
