| Posted: | | | | Hello I just tried downloading the install from the downloads page. I get a Trojan alert - Win32:Obfuscated-EB from my virus scanner. (search for Win32:Obfuscated.. lots of hits)
Has the install been corrupted?? Someone please check. Ive tried 3 computers (2 of which are not on my network..) and all of them find the same trojan, thus not letting me fully download the install. Can someone perhaps post a link to 3.0 version for the time being.
Also can someone try to dl' it and scan it and post if they get the same results. *its a zip file, so should be safe enough to atleast scan* Btw my scanner's database was updated today.. The reason I say this.. my friend tried to scan it with his scanner.(differant scanner then what I use) And it was not found. And I also read that this trojan is less then a day old.. so maybe MOST scanners have not been updated yet. Just giving a headups is all.

| Posted: | | | | Yep, got that same alert as well just now when I tried to download it. It's only the DVD Profiler download, not the Mobile version.
Ken, better check it out. |

| Posted: | | | | Is there a reason for your reluctance to name the Virus Scanners?
Neither Trojan Hunter 4.6.930 nor Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.1.6.6000 objected to my download and installation of DVD Profiler 3.0.2.1124.
I would report the (likely) False Positive to the makers of your Virus Scanners! |

| Posted: | | | | I've scanned with AVG 7.5.446 and the Kaspersky Online 5.0.83 scanner and to days DB the file DVDProInstall.zip and found no virus. Must shurely be a false positive. | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. I would report the (likely) False Positive to the makers of your Virus Scanners! Running Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 9.0.3.1000 Virus Definition file dated 4/1/2007 Revision 18 (US Date Format). I downloaded it again and scanned it. No problems. Highly likely to be a false positive IMHO. |

I'm afraid it could be a true positive, and not a false one!!!!! Safe as houses I say. A number of users, me included, have now scanned it with a variety of products and found no problems. I have it installed and no trojan like behavior is exhibited. |

| Posted: | | | | The installs are run through a variety of checks and scans to ensure they are clean. I checked again this morning with Avast 4.7, with today's virus database and it does not report an infection on the install program or on the development machine used to build and sign the install and program.
As a first step, update your virus definitions to today's release (000730-1, 04/02 for Avast) and run the scan again. Check to make sure the setup.exe file is digitally signed (extract to desktop, right click, select properties). It should show that it was signed by Invelos Software, Inc. The file on the server is signed, which means it has not been changed since it was built and signed here.
If anyone continues to receive an indication of infection on the signed setup.exe file with up-to-date definitions, please provide the virus scanner program name, version, and virus definition file version so I can report the false positive. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. | Posted: | | | | Actually the version scanner I use is Avast 4.7 And no this was not a April Fool joke. Here is the current version of my Avast.
- Program: Already up to date (current version 4.7.942) - Vps: Already up to date (current version 000730-1)
I trust you if your saying its a false report. Just wanted to make sure was all.. Wasn't trying to cause any problems. |
