| Posted: | | | | Could've sworn there was another thread someone posted within the last month or so, but can't find it.
Anyway, wondering if anyone else who have submitted a new profile is finding theirs taking a while to be approved. I submitted one on the 21st, while a few other new profiles I had submitted in the past couple of weeks only took a day or two to be approved and released.
There's nothing major in it (like cast and crew), just basic with cover scans.
Wondering if I should resubmit or just wait it out. | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

Wondering if I should resubmit or just wait it out. You are correct, this can be found here. I again also notice the delay in approvals. Chances are of course that many people are on holiday break right now. So the best bet is indeed to wait it out somewhat longer. Right now, this is my oldest pending contribution: | | | DVD Profiler for iOS since: January 9, 2011 (no longer using) DVD Profiler for Android since: June 6, 2013 | | | Last edited: by Hotm@iler |

| Posted: | | | | ... seems to be a little sluggish theses days, at least in the German region. I got one approved on 19th. But on the same day I got: ... and nothing happened since then... Which is rather annoying since this is a simple common name correction, which was blocked for a month now by rather stubborn no-voter, who completely ignorines the rules... ... maybe holiday season... | | | Complete list of Common Names • A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1) |

| Posted: | | | | I've also noticed that new profiles, those that would be processed and released (or declined) in a couple of days have taken a week or so to process. It's probably due to a shortage of screeners at the moment. |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, this is happening to all of us, my oldest pending contributions are from July 18. It's especially notable with new contributions, because those are usually processed a lot quicker than others.
It's not that *no* contributions are being approved: the regular approval process, which I believe to be a largely automated process by now, is running normally. It just seems to affect those contributions elevated to "second level reviewing" for some reason (for instance because it's a new contribution, or it includes a new birth year, or it attracted one or more no-votes). It's mostly those that seem to be stuck longer than usual right now... |

| Posted: | | | | My last new profile contributions were released the same day they were contributed (July 13). My last few approved profile updates took five days each to be approved. My only contribution currently waiting for approval has been there since July 17, but since there are uncredited cast included that's not unusual.

| Posted: | | | | What's getting to me with the new profiles is it holds up any contributions. For instance I did the cast and crew, but can't submit it until that profile is approved. |

| Posted: | | | | Indeed. Maybe the person (or persons, although I seriously doubt that) doing the manual "second level reviewing" is indeed simply enjoying a holiday. It's been about two weeks now - hopefully the process will resume one of these days... |

| Posted: | | | | I now have one negative comment (which is wrong, btw - and there are 11 positives!) which seems to have held up one of my contributions by over 10 days so far. If it didn't get promoted to the 'second level', it would have been approved almost two weeks ago!
Also, every single one of my 'new additions' has been over a week, so far. It's honestly feeling like it's not worth contributing new entries at this point. I now have three days off work, so can finally upload more, and it honestly doesn't seem worth it at this point. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | I'm having the same issues. I have contributed changes to existing profiles which have been approved and released after contributing new profiles which are still in the 'received' stage.
This would make sense if it was caused by changes to cast and crew, but it isn't. There profiles with changes to the cast and crew which have been approved before those with the same data, but in child profile form.
I share GreyHulk's frustration. |

There shouldn't be just one person to conduct the reviews, if they is then this site is set up for failure and likely doomed. |

It would be nice if there were more, but from what I'm seeing, it's really looking more and more like there's only one. That would also explain the two-week break we've just had - if there's just one person, and that person is off for two weeks for some reason, on holiday perhaps, then that automatically means that the process is halted for two weeks. But if there had been five others standing by, then that wouldn't have been necessary. Good news, though: my longest-pending new contributions (for profiles that weren't in the database yet) have just been approved. Not all of them, yet, but hopefully the remainder will follow soon. | | | Last edited: by T!M |
